Activate MC Service Requester

For a modern user interface and simplified workflow, preview or activate the latest version of Service Requester in the Service Requester Configuration tool.

Prerequisites

Link your account to CAV3. The system redirects you to update your login to CAV3 before you can access the MC Service Requester.

If you are a system administrator:

  • Contact Accruent support to enable Central Authentication v3 (CAV3) in your system, if it’s not already enabled.

  • Turn on the Service Requester Configuration access right:

    1. Go to Access Groups.

    2. Select an access group.

    3. Click Rights.

    4. Select System - Tools: Service Requester Configuration.

    5. Click Actions, then click Enable Selected.

    6. Click Save.

Preview the MC Service Requester

Explore the new experience with the MC Service Requester preview. The requests you enter during the preview remain as work orders in the main application.

  1. In the main application, go to Tools >Work Order > Service Requester Configuration.

  2. Click Preview new experience.

To leave the preview:

  1. Click New Service Requester in the navigation bar.

  2. Click Switch.

Activate the MC Service Requester

Activate the new MC Service Requester experience for all users. This option is unavailable if Central Authentication v3 (CAV3) is not enabled in your system. When you activate the MC Service Requester, it redirects all users attempting to access the Service Requester to the new experience. Users with outdated CAV3 login must upgrade their login before they can access it.

  1. In the main application, go to Tools >Work Order > Service Requester Configuration.

  2. Select Activate new experience.

To deactivate the new Service Requester, clear Activate new experience in the Service Requester Configuration tool.

Configure Service Requester

Activating the new Service Requester disables the Service Requester Configuration options. You can configure the Welcome page and Submit Service Request options in the new Service Requester. Other configurations from the Service Requester Configuration tool remain unchanged. To modify configurations not yet available in the new Service Requester:

  1. Clear Activate new experience in the Service Requester Configuration tool to deactivate the new experience.

  2. Update the configuration.

  3. Select Activate new experience to reactivate the experience.
